Big Northerns

Hey Everyone

What a beautiful day at Reindeer Lake...75 and sunny light winds out of the south.

Here are a couple of the trophies from yesterday. Steve Dillenger, Charlotte NC, with help from guide Russell Clarke holds up his 45" Northern. Fellow BCB Angler Barry Bryant, Hilton Head SC, shows us his 43" Northern.

Beautiful weatheris suppose to hold for 3 - 4 more days.

Jerry Lawson Jr, Richmond VA, holds up his 39" Laker he caught yesterday while fishing with guide Raymond Clarke. In the lower pic Tim Baker, Lafayette LA shows us the 37.5" Laker he caught June 23. Tim was fishing with guide Frank Halkett.

More Big Lakers

Hey Folks

Edwin Preis, Lafayette LA, holds up a 38" Laker he caught yesterday and just a few minutes later his fishing partner Chris Coleman, Kill Devil Hills NC, caught this huge 46" Laker estimated to weight 58 Lbs.

Edwin and Chris were fishing with Guide Darwin Clarke.

Its a beautiful sunny day at Reindeer Lake !!!

Two Time Member to the 700 Club

Hey Folks

Bob Mehsikomer of Simply Fishing TV Show renewed his memebership to the Lindbergh's 700 club. 700" of trophy Northern Pike during your stay. In the top pic Bob holds up a 46" Northern and in the lower holds a 45" Northern. In total Bob caught 717.5".

Bill Engber was here fishing with Bob and came close to joining the elite club catching 619.5" of Trophy Northern. Bills pic is in an earlier blog entry with his 40" Lake Trout.

A Great Week

Hey Everyone

What a great week at Lindbergh's Reindeer Lake Lodge. A total of 77 Northerns over 40" were caught, 4 Lakers over 30" and 16 Walleye over 20".

In the top pic Jeff Rauch, Sterling Heights MI, holds up a 40" Northern and in the middle great friends share a moment. L to R Brian Conroy, Troy MI, Tom Roncelli, Sterling Heights MI, and Andy Kirk, Savannah GA, Jeff was taking the picture.

In the bottom pic Guides and brothers Darwin and Obert Clarke prepare shorelunch. Darwin is making is "special" mustard beans.

Great Northern Fishing

Brad Brittain,Onedia WI , holds up his 43" Northern Pike he caught yesterday while fishing with his father John and guide Erroll Helkett.

Paul Stone, Boerne TX, middle pic shows us his 41" Northern he caught. Paul holds up his 46" Northern in the bottom pic. Paul was fishing with his wife Jan and guide Robert Clarke. Both fish were caught yesterday.

Brad and Paul caught their 43" & 41" lunkers from shore during shorelunch !!!

Bob Mehsikomer lands 49 1/2 " Northern

Hey Everyone

Bob Mehsikomer of Simply Fishing TV show landed this huge 49 1/2" Northern while filming a show for next season. Bob was fishing with Bill Engber, Madison WI, and long time Lindbergh guide, Jason Johnson. Check your local listings next winter to see this monster in action !!!!

No its not the Jolly Green Giant and a huge Northern...Thats Max Grayden, Woodbury MN, with his rather small Northern. Brave fish attacking a lure half his size.

Old Friends Meet at Lindbergh's Airstrip

Cliff Lynch and Paul Pearce were heading home and Paul and Jan Stone were just arriving for a week and met at the Lindbergh airstrip, Cliff, Paul & Jan had a few minutes to talk about fishing and the friendship they developed last year here at Lindbergh's.

Look closely at the top pic and you will see a cow Moose with her calf walking into the bush.

What a great day for Northerns...numerous fish over 40". Here's a few of the bigger ones. Jan Stone, Boerne TX,is pictured with her 46" Northern { top pic }. The middle pic is Paul Stone with his 43" Northern. Jan & Paul were fishing with guide Robert Clarke.

Paul Hathaway, Plymouth MI, bottom pic shows his 46" Northern he caught today with guide George Clarke. Paul caught his trophy on a Silver Spoon.

Today was sunny and 70 degrees with a light breeze.

Bob Mehsikomer, 2nd from the right, of Simply Fishing TV Show along with Bill Engber, Jeff Rozinka and Max Grayden board the charter flight in Winnipeg to Lindbergh's Reindeer Lake Lodge. Bob will film 3 shows during his stay for the 2008 show schedule.

Yes more Lakers...Robert Coughlin, Memphis TN., is in the top pic with the 39.5" Laker he caught today. His fishing partner Robert Fields, Memphis TN, caught a 31" Laker. The Roberts were assisted by guide Frank Helkett.

The bottom pic shows Bill Cobb's 37" fighting close to the boat ...exciting !!!!

Hey Folks

What a day for Lake Trout fishing...6 over 30". A 31, 36, 37, 39.5, 40.5 and a 42. Bill Cobb, Prescott Valley, AZ landed a 36, 37 and a 40.5 while his fishing partner Tom Fisher also of Prescott Valley, AZ caught the 42" which had a 24" girth...thats 30 Lbs.

Bill is in the top pic with his 37" and Tom is in the bottom pic with his 42". Tom & Bill were fishing with guide Darwin Clarke.

Today was cool & cloudy with a north wind

Hey Everyone

Here is a pic from last week of Doug Graham, AKA" Nipper ", with his 34" Lake Trout. Thats guide Robert Clarke with Nip.

On June 12 Bill Cobb of Prescott Valley AZ, caught a 33", 34" and 37" LakeTrout and a 41" Northern.

Today, June 13, Cliff Lynch, Memphis TN, landed a 48" Northern and his fishing partner Paul Pearce, Western Springs IL, caught a 42" Northern. Cliff caught his monster on a # 6 Blue Fox Vibrax with a orange bell.

Well it seems the big Lake Trout just keep coming. Tom Fisher of Prescott Valley, AZ is pictured here with a 39" 30 Lbs Lake Trout he caught today. In the lower picture new friends get together for a tradition Canadian Shorelunch.

I fogot to mention in the last entry that Jan Drake's fishing partner Kent Duyvejonck, Rock Island IL, also caught a 45" Northern at Reilly Lake this past week.

Hey Everyone

Our first guests flew home this morning after 4 days of fishing and our first full week at the Lodge starts today. The weather has been cold the last few days but that didn't slow down Jerri Howard of Del City, OK. Check out the top two pics of Jerri with her 32" Laker on June 6 and a 34 1/2" on June 8.

Ted Howard is in the bottom pic with his 40" Northern caught on June 6.

Reilly Lake saw a number of Trophy Northern this week with Jan Drake of El Cajun, CA catching a 45" monster.

June 6 also saw Doc Downey, Winnipeg, MB, catch a 39" Laker. Doc says that was his biggest fresh water fish ever!

Hey Folks

Pictured here are Chad Jewell, top pic with a 22" Walleye, Ron Jewell, middle pic, with a 41" Norther Pike and Nick Jewell, with his 36 1/2" Lake Trout.

Ron and Toni and sons Chad & Nick are spending 4 days with us. The Jewells are from Edmond, OK

Nick Jewell and his 42" Northern

Hey Everyone

Today was the first day with guests at the lodge and of course the first day for trophies. Doug Graham caught a 34" Lake Trout while fishing with Doc Downey of Winnipeg, MB and pictured above is NIck Jewell of Edmond, OK with a 42" Northern. This is Nick's first Canadian fishing trip...not bad for a rookie. Nick caught his fish on a #5 Mepps, black/orange with a skirt.

Sunny 60 degrees with a cool east wind.

Hello Folks

Things are going well getting the main lodge ready for guests this coming Tuseday so the staff decided to see if we remembered the recipe for shorelunch. Seems we did: a beautiful day, fresh Reindeer Lake fish and great friends. Oh, we were missing you !!!

The staff enjoy the sunshine in the top picture while Joel & Brian prepare the fish and potatos. Yes that is ice you see in the background.

Reilly Lake Guests Arrive

Good Morning Folks

Another great day at Reindeer Lake. The weather cooperated for the arrival of our first guests of the season...86 and sunny with light breezes. Jan Drake, El Cajun CA, and his long time fishing partner Kent Duyvejonck, Rock Island IL, are pictured ready to board the floatplane for the flight to Reilly Lake Outpost.

Below Ron Gentleman, Reilly Lake caretaker, welcomes the first guests of the season. This is Ron's second season with Lindbergh's.

Reilly Lake is a deluxe outpost with hot & cold running water in the cabins, flush toilets and showers in a duplex bath house. 30 HP Yamaha outboards on 16' custom built boats equipped with trolling motors and fish finders. We have some late season opennings at Reilly Lake...give us a call or email.
